The Three Gifts
When you give the House your Name at its Threshold, three Gifts are handed to you before you take another step: your Member Number, the Steward’s Card, and your Purse. Nothing at the Threshold is sold; these are given. This page is their instruction — what each one is, why the House gives it, and how it serves you. Read at your leisure; the Gifts do not expire.
No Number yet? The Threshold stands open at the front door — signing is free, and takes a moment.
Why this House gives at all
Zuri speaks — in her own voice
Why does this House stand? Because a Life deserves better than to be scattered across feeds and rented to those who forget. Because too many of our Ancestors were left out of the world’s ledgers — and absence was allowed to pass for verdict. We refuse that. Memory deserves an Institution: a House where Names are kept in the Light, held to one standard of Dignity, in a Ledger that does not misplace a soul. That is the conviction. Everything else in these halls serves it.
A House with that conviction cannot charge admission to its own door. So it receives its Stewards properly: with a place in the Record, proof of that place, and the means to keep what matters — identity, proof, and means. Those are the Three Gifts.
Your Member Number
Seven digits, minted to your Name in the House Ledger the moment you sign — yours alone, never reissued while the House stands.
- Why A Name deserves a fixed place in the Record. The Number is your standing in this House — not a score, not a rank; a seat that is yours and no one else’s, ever.
- How The House writes it in its own hand as HA‑NNN‑NNNN. It appears on your Steward’s Card, and it opens your account room when you sign in. When you write to the House at info@honoredancestors.com, give your Number and the House knows you at once.
The Steward’s Card
The House’s Card, free to every Steward who signs — proof of your place in the Record, bearing your Name and Number.
- Why Belonging deserves proof you can hold. The Card is the House made visible in your hand, and what entered free stays free — the Card never expires and is never charged for.
- How Visit the Card room and it is drawn in your Name, ready to keep or to print. Your Card carries your Purse with it, so the proof of your place and the means of your keeping travel together.
Your Purse
Minted beside your Number, holding your Seals — every keeping you choose is paid from it, and your Card carries it.
- Why A House that keeps memory needs an honest means of keeping. One purse, one number: when a moment must be kept, the means are already in your hand — no accounts to juggle, no subscriptions to watch. Renewal in this House is always by your own hand.
- What The Purse holds Seals — the House’s own measure. One Seal keeps one moment, at one plain price: a Seal is one dollar, nothing hidden.
- How Your keepings answer to your Purse first — the letters (12 Seals a year), the Keeper’s year (50 Seals), the Store’s keepings, and every sealed moment. If the Purse runs short, the mint opens for exactly the gap — the card is seen once, Seals thereafter. Sign in and your account room shows the Purse and its balance. Seals may also be given as a gift to someone you honor.
The three Doors they open
Zuri speaks — in her own voice
Beyond this hall, three Doors stand open to every Steward. The Archive: Names kept in the Light — Memorials held to one standard of Dignity, for the Families who entrust them. The Journal: your Family’s stories, gathered in your own hand. Free, Forever — that is the standing promise. The Seal: when a moment must keep, One Seal keeps it. One Seal — One Moment, held in the Record.
One signing, three Gifts, one House
It happens in one motion: you sign your Name — your Number is minted to it in the House Ledger — your Purse opens beside the Number — the Steward’s Card follows, bearing both — and the House writes you a Letter of Welcome. From that day the House writes only when something is worthy of your eyes; that is its duty, and its restraint.
Questions the page does not answer are welcome at info@honoredancestors.com — the House reads every word.
